I'm looking for sponsors to get me started on cartoon mural picture paintings for nurseries, hospitals, infant schools or chreshs in the UK. So far, I've put an article in the local newspaper of which I have received some positive response and have recently done some paintings for people at their request. I can do any cartoon picture that I'm shown for anybody and I take great pleasure in doing this. I don't expect payment from these people just payment for the materials. I love to paint and I am very proud of my work and take great pleasure in doing any paintings at any time for anybody.
Unfortunately, I no longer work and I have personal health problems but these do not affect my ability to paint and it is so difficult and very frustrating trying to get myself out there and noticed of my talent so this is why I am resorting to asking anybody on yahoo just by chance if they could maybe suggest any other steps I could take to result in me doing the paintings I love to do.

Visit your local hospital. They usually have acres of blank wall spaces they need to cover, Offer to paint a mural at a very low rate (possibly free) and when its done include your name and contact details nearby. Take photographs of your previous work for the hospital administrators to see. Hopefully this advertising will bear fruit.

I totally agree with Barrowman, go to a hospital, the children's ward and rooms can always be re-done. Take a portfolio, hope you took pictures of your work, and also try educational toy stores, kindergartens and day care centers. You can make up fliers, put a popular carton on the flyer and distribute to new homes that have just been build. This way people might hire you to do the children's rooms and nurseries.
Good luck in your endeavor.

Reading your ciscumstances, you need to do it as a business 1. Make yourselves fliers (could be starting with print out from computer) - with pictures of your works. Send your fliers to your local school, leisure centre, hotels, nursery, even pub which have kids play ground. 2. Check your local website as touch.co.uk or other local website and put your advert there - there is a free business ad section. Perhaps you can also ask your local council if any grant for you to start the business. 3. You might be able to get help from Princes Trust with your talent.

try the local library, they usually have space for art shows...usually they decide once a year about the years use of space.....also try a local cafe....not the greasy spoon type....sometimes they will offer assistance in showng art as it gets bums on seats...
