I'm sorry that it's had that effect on you, although I understand it..

I have to be very careful about which questions I read here, or respond to, because I can all too easily become convinced that there is no humanity involved in religious discussions.

it would be far too easy to forget that most people of most religions are not as inhumane and uncaring as they are presented here. it's also easy to forget that most atheists don't express unveiled contempt for people who are religious. That would be an easy generalization to make from the posts here, too.

on an identical time as I incredibly have in no way study any books on Atheism, I incredibly have study books on Hinduism, Shintoism, Buddhism, and Christianity. I incredibly have study the Bible and many the Egyptian e book of the ineffective. (That final one is a little tougher to get via, yet i'm tremendously much achieved.) I do look at web pages on different religions and that i've got self assurance I learn extra as I study, to not point out to sense extra delicate in my own faith. in order that i don't look hypocritical, i will finally study a e book on Atheism, because of the fact one in each of my acquaintances reported that the only she has is incredibly exciting. i'm uncertain which one this is nevertheless.

Do you think Tolerant is a synonym for acceptance ?

In order to be Tolerant do I need to turn my back on the Bible, and embrace every thing which comes my way so as not to offend ?

Since my youth, I have been called all sorts of names because I hold to the total absolute truth of God's WORD. The most intolerant, offencive, and abusive people I have known were those who prided themselves in their openminded tolerance.

Maybe this doesn't need to make you more intolerant of religions. Maybe you should just be less intolerant of stupidity. The two overlap a lot, but at least religion tries to enforce morality.
