Whats it like to die of blood loss? (I need to know for science class)?

So yeah, whats it like to die of blood loss? Does it hurt? Is it a painfull death? What happens when you bleed to death? What I REALLY need to know is what happens if you cut your main veins and arterys in your neck, (IE jugular vein, etc).

You pass out. If you've ever fainted, it's similar to that. The only pain would be from the actual cut or wound.
