How old is the youngest person ever sent to Hell? Is there a minimum age limit?

I don't think Hell exists. If it did exist than an "All Knowing God" created it in his/her mind before the dawn of time knowing full well who would go there in the first place. So, technically you really don't have any control over it (if it exists). So, don't worry about it. Life is too short to worry about an "all loving god" sending his precious ones into the lake of fire.

The earliest anyone can qualify for Hell is when he or she reaches the age when they can understand right from wrong; understand both extremes AND possible consequences, and then decide to do the extreme wrong.

It's generally accepted that children can understand right from wrong around 5 to 6 years of age. Consequences are a little more abstract, and could be a little later as in 8 to 11 yoa.

Some never mature to understand consequences altogether so most of us rely on Earthly justice and punishment - just in case.

One needs to reach the "Age of Accountability" before one will be sent to Hell for clinging to one's sin and rejecting Jesus Christ, so it is different in each individual and thusly one cannot estimate the age of the youngest person in Hell.

For some it is four and for others five or six.

I work with seven year olds and they ALL know the difference between right and wrong by that age and are accountable for their own actions.

No one can tell you how old the youngest person was ever sent to Hell. There's an age of discernment and accountability and God is the judge of that.

It depends on the person. If they were old enough to make a decision for christ and know what they were doing and didn't they would go to hell. no one knows how young the youngest occupant of hell is.

Assuming that there is a Hell: I don't think that someone who is not old enough to consciously make decisions is worthy of going to Hell. It's kind of hard to "sin" when all you do is sleep eat and poop....so we'll say 2 is the cut off - 2 year olds can be bad...

The bible mentions an age of accountability. Meaning all will hear truth of God. What they do with that truth is their choice. If a child dies before hearing that truth of God, they will be safe with God, because they know not of good or evil. My children are accountable for instance, and they are only 5, 6, 8, yrs old. They are aware of the truth, so in God's eyes they must live up to His teachings and their salvation by Christ. So their is people of all ages that have yet to hear the truth, they will not be held accountable if they die before hearing the salvation of Christ. If you hear the truth it does not matter your age, you will be in trouble before God if you sway from the truth.

The church states that the minimum age of understanding is 7yrs of age and that from this age on we are aware of sin and so commiting a mortal sin after this age and failing to repent may result in Hell.

I think it is 12 because I remember asking my grandma the same question when I was 12 or 13.
She said it was 12 because that is when you should start getting serious about your faith and was the year when Jesus started to get serious.

How old are you? I've heard they check ID at the Gates. If your too old to remember why you're there, then you can't get in. Plus the dress code is strictly enforced.
