If someone can be "temporarily" anorexic then yes, I have fallen under that category a few times in life. I've straved myself severely to the point where I was fainting. And then when I had lost the weight for whatever event I was trying to lose the weight for, I would eat again then be fat again. It was a horrible cycle that I fight with to this day.

There is no such thing as temporarily anorexia, I have battled anorexia for 12 very long years and if I could be free I would. Anorexia is actually a mental disorder or process that does not come and go. You can starve yourself temporarily but that does not mean temporarily anorexia. And unfortunately if you do starve yourself for a time frame you will gain weight back pretty quickly once you resume eating.

Anorexia it not temporary. Yes, people can recover, but it is difficult and they still battle it - like an alcoholic who no longer drinks....for some people part of anorexia is control...the person feels like they can control the outcome of something...they're own body. It can start for a variety of reasons, but we'll stick to dieting as one for this posting. What happens to change things from dieting to starving? Something clicks in the brain...a sense of power perhaps, a sense of accomplishment "I can do this!", and a sense of "fear" that "I don't want to gain it back so I'll have to lose a little more" but it's always a little more that you want to lose and you will never ever be satisfied..."If I lose a little more, then I'll be safe" safe from what? Calories. You can damage friendships because friends will see what you are doing even when perhaps your family does not (they may have they're own issues with diet) and let's not forget the vigorous exercise....so obsessed that you can't even miss a day....take breaks at work to do lunges and squats and crunches....people notice your behavior but you are not deathly skinny yet....lying to boyfriends who hear your stomach grumble...telling them...no I'm not hungry...I ate....and not all anorexics abstain from eating...they just don't eat that much and burn every bit of it off with exercise....end up with less body fat than althletes...who survives this nightmare? It has to come from within...stop before it gets beyond hope....and another thing, if you do it for too long, you can slow down your metabolism.

Anorexia is not healthy for your body. If you want to lose weight you should work at it, go jogging or join the gym. Portion control is a major issue, eat smaller meals more often to speed up your metabolism- that will help you lose weight. Starving yourself robs your body of health. It puts you in dying mode. Anorexia is not sexy or cute. A healthy person is sexy looking. Women are supposed to have curves, not look like a bag of sticks.

People weigh a certain amount and look like they weigh a different amount for a couple reasons- water retention, Body type, genetics. If you have a tummy bulge- try a product like colon cleanse to rid your bowels of junk that gets left behind- trust me its in there!!! Also stay away from greasy foods- they coat your intestines and make it hard to properly digest your food.

I don't think that anorexia is a temprary thing. What you are describing sounds more like crash dieting. To my understanding, anorexia is an eating disorder that requires treatment.

Part 2-I think that a lot of it depends on bone structure and height. I weigh more than I look because of my frame, height and how I carry the weight. You will look bigger if all of your extra weight is in your stomach, torso, and butt.

You can't temporarily be anorexic, it is a disease. also when you start eating again you will gain more than you lost because your body has been in starvation mode. 2 people of the same weight can look different because muscle is much more dense than fat. If you are trying to lose weight or just tone your body, please do so in a healthy way.

When i was a teenager, I TRIED to be anoxeric. The problem, of course, is that I didn't have the mental problem that people with the disease had, so I just got hungry and went and ate. The difference in bone structure and muscle mass can account for the looking one weight but actually weighing another.

I've misplaced five pounds in my first week. It's my tenth day and I have incorporated salad with a few protein (eg. egg/ lean bird) as you steered. After four years of attempting, the fats is ultimately coming off. It real seems like magic! Get began at present!

when someone is anorexic it is a disorder, it is like a disease that affects their brain. most of the time they are not even over weight at all, maybe even too skinny to BEGIN with but that is not how their brains see it. someone who trys to be anorexic is simply just starving themselves which is stupid.

its a combination of genes and how people condition their bodies. most dancers look slimmer than they are. its all in how they work their body out.anerexia is not a temporary disease is life long and wreaks havoc on your body especially your heart.
