Turkey's 16th general election is scheduled to be held on 4 November 2007, at the end of a full five-year term.

The election will come in the aftermath of Turkey's presidential election, scheduled for May 2007, and will see the governing Justice and Development Party (AKP) hoping to secure its position as the single party government. The Republican People's Party (CHP) will be looking to keep its position as main opposition party in the face of increasing unpopularity.

According to opinion Poll conducted in July 2006, Justice and Development Party is expected to get around 38.60% Votes,
Republican People's Party around 11.90% and rest parties less than 10%.

I think Mehmet Agar will get more votes, unfortunately. It seems like media has chosen him for the next election. It will be a shame for Turkey (with his black history) if he becomes the next prime minister.
