i purchased a ticket 7 days in advanced and needed to change date to earlier arrival and not able to why?

I'm not sure what kind of ticket it is, but its probably because the earlier date is already sold out. They won't take someone's seat who originally reserved that date and give it to someone who has a ticket and wants to change dates. Thats pretty much a common practice for transportation tickets, which is what I'm assuming you're talking about.

When I change the schedule, I have to pay a huge penalty which is often $100. but the most important to know is that we have to call to change the schedule instead of changing it over the Internet. You might change it yourself across the Internet when it is not yet buy for sure, which is usually till midnight the same day or till midnight the next day.

I think that they don't allow the changes over the Internet in case that somebody modifies your trip without your authorization.

Call the Air plane company and be ready to give the precise information about your changes.

perhaps you bought the type of ticket which does not allows changes. those kind are usually the very cheap tickets we all can search and find in the internet offers...but be careful. you need to read terms and conditions before you buy one...it may does not allow any changes, or seat upgrades. if its a very low price airline ticket you can cancell it and the only thing you get back is the airport taxes-NOT the fare
