Yes it was, even on the guys. Been there done that. Cool. Check out websites about WoodStock and the group The Band and you'll get a good idea of the hair. Peace!

I wore my hair straight, without bangs all through high school (graduated in 71). Once Farrah Fawcett became well known, everyone wanted to be blonde and have her feather cut style hair (see her famous red bathing suit poster), except for me. I stayed with straight until 74, when I had a baby. Really good examples of styles are from Saturday Night Fever. Kate Jackson (original Charlies Angels) had her dark brown hair cut straight at shoulder length, this was also very popular.

For women there was the long straight hair, parted in the middle and sometimes with a headband going around the forehead.
For men and women super curly hair, afros, was fairly trendy. Also, women.. long feathered hair

i always see one person that she is still living the 70s so she ha long and a little bit of curly hair and her hair is black and her makeups makes her look more like the 70s

Watch old reruns of Charlie Angles, look at Farrah hair that was the epitome of the 70's hair.

70s hairstyles were very much influenced by the hippie culture. Dark colors were in. Perms, ultra-curly, afro-style hair. Then soft perms, as seen in Charlie's Angels flicks, are very much 70s.
