HI I'm a commerce teacher for the past 17 years. I have always advised my students to take up CA, ICWA, MBA, ACS. Now all these professional coursed have given a lot of relaxations, particularly the Institute of CAs.
Now that there is a boom in the Information technology field, u can very well go in for computer courses, BCA, BCS and go on to do MCA.
It all depends on what u want to become, ur level of enthusiasm, ur interest in the subject and the amount of work u are able to invest.

Well after completion of your 12th you can go for CA (entrance exam) or CS or CWA foundation exam. It will lead you to a very nice professional career.
Tally and other accounts / taxation software courses is going to helpful but you will lead to a mediocre career not a big gun...Best of Luck
