Well, Pit Bulls are my second favorite breed. Don't you think they get a bad rap they don't deserve?!
My favorite breed is the Standard Poodle for three reasons. I enjoy sharing my home with my pets and poodles do not shed. Additionally their fur is hypoallergenic so my sensitive pals can come over and not have allergic reactions. Secondly poodles share hip architecture with bears (and some other dogs) which give them them an interesting and effective locomotion ability. Finally and most important, poodles are well documented to have the highest IQ in the dog world and is why they are so often found performing tricks in circuses and other venues that would be impossible for other breeds.
Of course I have to endure peoples silly comments fostered by their own lack of eduction on the subject. And no, I don't clip them in the traditional French style or whack their tail off. BTW did you know the Poodle is often thought of as a typically French breed (it is frequently referred to as the "French Poodle"). However, it is an old breed and its region of origin is a matter of contention. Most experts believe the Poodle originated in Central Europe or Russia. However, it may also have come from Iberia. Related breeds are the Portuguese Water Dog and Irish Water Spaniel. They originated as hunting dogs to retrieve waterfowl for hunters.
PS Poodles come in all sizes too.

I hav a Golden Retriever, Beagle mix, and a corgi. I love all of my dogs alot but I do have a favorite kind that isnt 1 of those breeds. I love Doberman, Great Danes,German Shephards, and some small dogs. I think I like big dogs more because im short and having a dog that is my size of even bigger would be really fun for me.

I always adopt mixed breeds from the Humane Society when I need a dog; and I do need to have a dog.
I am on my second dog (my first bi dog died at 13 years). My smaller baby is now 11 but we got him when he was 2 from the Houston Humane Society. After the first few months of adjustments, he became the most wonderful companion. He is a mix of terrier and Dalmatian.
Love love my special baby.

I have had lots of breeds of dogs but have totally and completely fallen love with the Labrador Retriever. They are the most intelligent, loyal, fun loving and affectionate dog. Their favorite thing is just to be with their master. They are also very versatile and adaptable. I take mine swimming in the summer, sledding in the winter.

I'm a fan of the bigger dogs. The smaller ones I'm fearful I will hurt them.
I grew up with Boxers in my house. I must say, that breed has stolen my heart. They are fun, lovable, love kids, and are great protection. They may look mean, but they are marshmallows inside.
I also love Irish Wolfhounds, Great Danes, and Salukis. I find these dogs to be beautiful and great fun-loving dogs to have around all the time. They are all full of life and love to be loved.

I love all dogs, too. Except stupid looking poodles, and chihuahuas. My favorite would have to be the Newfoundland. Never had one, but just love their natural ability to save lives, especially in water rescue. They are very powerful swimmers and can pull a raft full of people to safety, or a chain of people floating in the water. They are tolerant of cold weather and not to mention are gorgeous dogs. Only problem is they only live to be 9 or so, and can have hip problems. Cool dogs though.

Golden Retriver....they are so loveable, great with kids and new people, and they are the perfect size!! plus, once they are trained you can leave them at home alone if you need to do some day-to-day errands....small lap dogs need LOTS of attention!!
