My kitty was bitten on face by a snake last week. She has been on antibiotics, and it finally ruptured last night. *Gross! - I know!
It drained safely, and is still painful. I'm aware that u can give dogs certain over-the-counter "human" medications, Is there anything I can safely give my cat? - without making her sick? 6 mth old Female Siamese. And... Is it a good idea to use an astringent/antiseptic, to clean it? Or let her siblings accomodate that department?

cats are able to be given part of a baby aspirin--i would call the vet to ask how much--it is given by weight of the cat--best given in extreme emergency for fevers. now the wound is oozing, there is less pain than when it was building up pressure before it ruptured. if kitty is playing and acting ok, i would hold off on the aspirin --do call vet and verify--tylenol does kill cats--do not give anything with acetominophen in it, and call your vet.

NEVER use over the counter human pain relievers on your pets unless prescribed by a veternarian. I know that some things like tylenol/ acetomenophin can be toxic to animals. I would call your vets office to see what is ok to use.

I wouldn't give a cat anything over-the-counter. You can ask your vet, but if it burst, she is in a lot less pain then before.

Wash the area with a little soap on a paper towel. Rinse well so the other cats don't eat soap. Anything else can harm her skin.

I was at the vet yesterday and he said that cat's don't do well with anti-inflamatory medicines. He prescribed morphine drops for her ear infection related pain. I got the idea that something like asprin could kill a cat from our conversation.

It would likely be better just to get something from the vet as they can give you the correct doseage with proper instructions.
