use the jellyrollers by conair, they're super cute and work really well. plus the come in lots of varieties so you can get loose waves, soft curls, or tight ringlets! or mix and match them! they heat up fast and they have ends so you dont burn yourself. in geneal, all hot rollers are good hot rollers if you use them well. just be sure to use a protective spray on your hair before using any heat device =]

I use the Caruso Ion Molecular Steam Hair Setter. I ordered it off of Amazon and I love it! I have relaxed hair and I can set my hair in the morning get dressed, put my makeup on and take out the rollers and the curls are set all day. I don't even have to use any type of setting spray if I don't feel like it. Best of all, the steam is healthy for your hair. The rollers are foam and aren't hot to the touch.

just like mentioned always use a product to protect your hair from the damage the heat can cause. In addition to this, use small sections to insure that the heat penetrates and for added volume, start by rolling the section towards the front of your head, over directing the section you are working with, and rolling it down to the base of the section.
if you want curl with out the volume, under direct the section toward the back of your head, and roll down to the base of the section. Have fun and enjoy all the new looks hot rollers can create.

Conair hot rollers are fine.

In the salon we use biolage thermoactive spray and spray a little on the dry hair section right before rolling it up.
We then clip the roller in place with large butterfly clips. Leave the rollers on for about 10 minutes.
Take rollers out and let your hair cool for a few minutes before brushing or styling.

Good luck!

try purchasing them at a beauty supply store, i find that they have the best products there...to put them on, i start by making sure my hair is dry, give it a mist of hair spray, and then work my way from the front to the back, seperating it by layers....after they are all in, spray it with some more hair spray then leave it alone for about 15-30mins....take them out and let them fall....hope it helps!!
