I honestly think this would be personal preference. I have never owned UA stuff, but I think I do have a pair of Polartec socks...maybe.

I buy my socks at REI, an outdoor company that sells high quality products, so I pretty much have faith that whatever sock I buy, should do a fairly decent job.

What I look for in a skiing sock is how thin it is. A thick sock will cut off circulation to your toes, or bunch up in your boots. My opinion, backed up by years of experience.

Socks are cheap enough so you could buy one pair of each and see how they work for you!

You really shouldn't worry about what socks you wear--any pair of thin synthetic wool is fine. Your boots are what keep your feet warm.

If you're still having cold feet problems, try unstrapping the two lowest straps on the boot, the ones on the top of your feet. They don't give you much (if anything) in terms of control, and if they're too tight, they can cut off the circulation in your feet. The straps around your ankles are what you need for ski control. Also, try adding warmer layers on top. If you keep your body's core temperature up, your extremities will stay warmer as well.

Smartwool makes super socks, yet they're on the high priced section. i like Lorpen. I have been given a %. of two Lorpens marked as 'Ski Socks' for the comparable cost as some marked as 'Snowboard' socks, yet they're the comparable product, so word of markups like that. additionally attempt boot heaters. i latterly tried those issues referred to as 'ask your self heaters' and that i like them! The are extra high priced up front, yet they're reusable, so extremely than procuring a team you need to in no way use back..
