There are different reasons for heart palpitations, but all are important because they deal with your health. I don't know your personal health issues, if any, or your age: but seeing a doctor is definitely a recommendation. Heart palpitations do not always mean you have a bad heart, many times heart palpitations are due to anxiety or stress. If you are going through a stressful period in your life, or have high anxiety, that could be a contributing factor. Track your heart palpitations: When they happen, how long they last. Take this information to your physician and they will be able to help.

It could just be anxiousness and as i had the same thing - thinking about it and worrying made it worse. Try calming exercises like taking deep breaths, its a cliche but it helps. Do go and see your gp though as you need to get everything checked out

First,, get it checked out by your doctor. And as others have said, it may be anxiety. I know i have a prolapsed mitral valve, and it will do that to me every once in awhile. I dont take meds for it.
