Deffinatly check vet records. keep a file with there name on it and keep all of her/ his info in it. like vet records, purchase date, adoption date. if you dont know it currently ask your vet on her/his next phisical. the vet should be able to look at his/her teeth and give you a good estamate.

It should be part of her vet records. One local vet does something cool to make you remember when they are due for shots. They put a little plastic tag on the collar with the month that the dog should come back for a yearly checkup. For us, that is her birthday. She was a rescue, so we will never know exactly. We consider her birthday as the day we got her plus about a year. You could always add her birthdate to her tag.
Tags can be engraved at most Wal-marts now for about $4.00 or $8.00 at most pet stores.
Good Luck!

Put her birthday in Yahoo! Calendar and in the notes, write down the year she was born. Then you'll always be able to do the math.
