One of my classmates was killed in a car wreck two days ago. No alcohol was involved. Was it just part of His "plan"?

Hi Mike, so sorry for your loss, it is at times like this that we struggle to find an answer to tragedies like this and we mostly fall on Blaming God, but this is unfair as God is not a vicious brute nor does He take pleasure in our sufferings, it is the way of the world and of the unpredictability of life,there may well have been certain circumstances that caused this terrible accident but be assured God had nothing to do with it, and those who say it was God`s plan are foolish to dismiss human responsibility.
Try to take some comfort in the knowledge that God will take care of your friend.

First, I am very sorry to hear of your that fatal accident.
It has affected you a lot or you wouldn't have written this post.
I am sorry to hear of your loss.
The Almighty God does not PLAN per se,
He is a God of purpose.
Second, that God predestines everything is hogwash. Don't buy into it.
Jesus himself mentioned an accident and we can learn a lot from it.
"Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Si·lo´am fell, thereby killing them, do YOU imagine that they were proved greater debtors than all other men inhabiting Jerusalem?" - Luke 13:4
The Scriptures mention something interesting at Ecclesiastes 9:11
"I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all." Eccl 9:11
Nowhere does the Bible espouse the idea that God has predetermined our time of death.
It is true that Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2 says: “For everything there is an appointed time, even a time for every affair under the heavens: a time for birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot what was planted.” Yet Solomon was simply discussing the continuing cycle of life and death that afflicts imperfect humanity. We are born, and when the time comes, when normal life expectancy is reached—usually after 70 or 80 years or so—we die. Still, the exact moment of death has no more been predetermined by God than the moment when a farmer decides “to plant” or “to uproot what was planted.”
In fact, Solomon later shows that a person might die prematurely, saying: “Do not be wicked overmuch, nor become foolish. Why should you die when it is not your time?” (Ecclesiastes 7:17) What sense would this counsel make if one’s time of death were unchangeably predetermined? The Bible thus rejects the notion of fate. Apostate Israelites who adopted this pagan concept were severely condemned by God. Isaiah 65:11 says: “You men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny.”
How foolish it is, then, to attribute accidents and mishaps to fate or, worse yet, to God himself! “God is love,” says the Bible, and to accuse him of being the author of human misery directly contradicts this fundamental truth.—1 John 4:8.

No it's a risk we take when we drive, it can happen to any of us, when we get on the road you take a chance, it's common place to drive but accidents happen all the time, my brother was run over by a car delivering news papers, in 1966 is was carelessness on the drivers part and carelessness on society for allowing people to be poor in this case, because he was making money for his Jr. prom

If God orchestrated this to spite you, then I'd say you have a reason to be mad. Or rather hurt by a God that you thought you knew. And you get to suffer through loss that you get to find your own answers to. We call this NORMAL. Loss is like a tornado ripping apart your house, all that's left is the basement, and you get to rebuild from the bottom. The bricks are heavy at first, but they get lighter as you go. Best get started.

i don't care the two way, even though if I make it a factor to capitalize Gods yet not god till pertaining to a particular god just to harass smug fundies who think of in undemanding terms they have the solutions.

God does not exist therefore it was not planned. Your friend most likely had died as a result of an inadequate transit system and human error.

This November marked the three year mark since my friend died in a similar wreck (no alcohol). I believe it is all part of God's "plan" everything happens for a reason. We may never know what that reason is, but it's there.
