Yes its true. Also my vet told me that most white cats are male, most b/w cats are male, most siamese are female, most orange tabbies are male, most black ones are male, and most gray tabbies are male. If you find anyone of these in the opposite sex they are extremely rare. I don't really know about them being worth any thing but they are still a nice find if you come across one.

Yes it is true. One of the modifiers in coat color is on the sex chromosome. When a calico is "created" the gene for each coat color has to be present which is more common in females than males. Yes they are very rare, but i wouldn't imagine getting a lot of money for them because most times they are sterile. Because to get a calico male there is a bit of a Chromosome (DNA Strands) accident that would hardly ever occur. Even rarer are non-sterile males. Anyways Read it up.

This is a true fact actually. Almost all calico's are female and if you find a male one, he can be worth lots!

That's because most calicos are female. I had one once.

My vet also told me a female orange tabby is rare too.

male calicoes, if born don't live long so I doubt it, on average they're only suposed to live a few days, I think its something to do with a mutation or something
