My sisters boxer had a litter of 8 pups and 2 were white, the kennel club told her to kill them cos they were albinos and they didnt want them to breed and carry the defect on.

Needless to say she didnt, they can be deaf though ,also they burn easily in the sun.

They do not die younger than average though ,so dont worry.

White Boxers have no more health problems than their pigmented litter mates. White Boxer pups are more prone to being deaf than pigmented pups but the deafness would appear by the time they are 5-6 weeks old. The only malady white Boxers are more prone to is skin cancer since they can sunburn more easily than the fawn or brindle Boxers. Simply use a sunscreen to reduce the chances of sun burn. The average lifespan of a Boxer without genetically passed medical issues is 9-10 years but many live to be much older.

They are no less likely to live a short life than a fawn or brindle. Boxers are prone to alot of genetic abnormalities, and many times white genome can carry more of those abnormalities, which is why, when showing, a white coat is considered a fault. Unfortunately, Boxers in general can have a short life due to these abnormalities, it is not just white Boxers. I would enjoy all the time you have with your Boxer, and keep vigilant on their vet visits.

No it's not true they have the normal life expectancy of a boxer dog which is between 11-12yrs old so hopefully many more happy years.

If your dog is healthy looking and bouncy at the moment, (s)he's not going to die when (s)he gets to that age just because someone has told you that's going to happen. I have a bulldog who is seven and they're only supposed to live to about 10, but he's so fit, healthy and young looking I can't really imagine he'll deteriorate that much in the next three years. We used to have a lab-border collie cross who lived to be nearly fifteen. He never really started looking old until he was about 13.

I honestly would not trust anyone's opinion except that of a vet or qualified breeder.

If a dog is looked after correctly it can live well beyond the specified years. chihuahuas are supposed to only live until they are 12 maybe..my friends chihuahua is 16 and although deaf/blind etc... is in perfect health.. so dont panic about your dog!!!
