Our belief is not evil, sin is evil. The Bible teaches not that we are perfect, but that we are being perfected. The 10 Commandments are still here to help us and guide us. We are saved by grace, through faith, and good works will eventually follow. Sooner or later, most Christians will sin less and less because of their love for God. But we can never be perfect in this life. If you murder someone, it is a sin. So you have to ask for forgiveness. But, even if you do sin, if you are already saved, you do not lose your salvation. Salvation is eternal. Once Christ has saved you, you have the given promise of everlasting life. So, when you sin, you ask for forgiveness, noting more, and you are cleansed. People still sin. We are all sinners. The 10 Commandments tell us that we have sinned. I suggest you read Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7. So yes, if you sin, and you are saved, and you ask for forgiveness, you can still go to heaven.

Our belief is not evil and Christians are not all evil. True alot of us are bad, they do bad things in life like kill, rape (etc) Jesus even said that many are called but a few will be chosen. It means among the many people called to be Christians, only a few will go to heaven. This would because some Christians are not going to stay faithful to what they beleive. They start worshipping money and fame but bare in mind that there are still Christians who does the will of the Father. Look at Pope John Paul II, he was a good Christian. He exemplified what Jesus taught through his words and actions. The Christians who murder, rape and lie, if they are truly sorry for their sins, yes they will be forgiven, its not evil. They will get punishment but they will be forgiven. Look at King David, in the Bible, he killed the husband of Bathsheba because he fell in love with her by placing him in the front row of the soldiers in the war. The husband died and so he married Bathsheba. David was sorry for his sins and God forgave him but God told him that he will be punished for what he did. God said that on the reign of his son, Solomon, Their kingdom shall be divided into two. God is a merciful and just God. He forgives your sins but there are corresponding consequences for them.
Many Christians now a days take this for granted so they go free and around commiting all the sins in the world, they beleive that God will forgive them anyway. That is a wrong concept. True repentance happens when a person promises not to sin and truly does not sin for the remainder of his/ her life. I hope I answered your question.

The Ten Commandments were originally for God's chosen people so they would know what was and was not acceptable to God.
Even though Jesus Christ died for our sins, I still find the Ten Commandments the most sensible way to live.
Yes, we all fall short of the glory of God. That is why He gave us Jesus. To save us from sin and to be reconciled with Him. Walking the walk is a daily process which will continue until our work on this earth is finished.

The 10 commandments define what sin is, and by it all are guilty of sin. Everyone has done one of these sometime in their lives. It proves our sin full nature.
You forget that He is not just about forgiveness, but justice.
There are consequences for evil acts on our part, and God will allow those to happen. He will not interfere with our free will. He did not do away with the law, and His forgiveness is not a license to continue in sin. Repentance on our part should always be followed by obedience, a turning of our life and ways of doing things. He gives us victory over sin by His Spirit, which teaches and helps us to overcome our sin full natures. A whole new way of living life, devoid of sin and evil. An act of our will to follow His.

There is a scripture in the bible that tells of a scene of a thief who was being crucified with Jesus. From what we know, the thief did not know of Jesus or of His teachings before. He saw Jesus pray for the people who were killing Him and ask God to forgive them. The thief, I believe, was awe struck at that moment that a man would still pray for and ask God to forgive those who were killing Him even at the very moment of His death. The thief asked Jesus if He would remember him in His kingdom. Jesus told him that on this day, the thief would be with him in paradise.
What happened there? From what we know, the thief had probably led a debauched life his entire life, and it wasn't until the moment of his death that he discovered Jesus, asked for forgiveness, and was saved. The story teaches the infinite mercy of Jesus, and how even we can be saved at the last moment.
My understanding of this is that Jesus' mercy is beyond our comprehension. In other words, He knows us in ways that we could never understand, and forgives us.
Please understand, the thief in that instant was sorry for what he'd done. He was repentent. From what I understand, your statements say that we use forgiveness as a license to do what we want and then ask God to forgive us and it's all good. That's not the case. Our repentence must be sincere. We are not to go and commit those horrible sins again. God knows whether we are truly repentent or not.
I thank you for your question, and may God bless you.

The 10 commandments are God's guide to humans so that humans can know how to be happy. They are like the manual you get with your new car. Jesus died to save people from their sins. The 10 help you know when you sin. If you love God you will want to keep His 10. You can not keep them without His help. Keeping them is also a way to show Him you love Him. The two roots of the 10 is Love GOd and all others. You need a complete make over, dude.

I understand why you would ask this question. It is a very common one. First of all, Jesus did not die to allow us to sin- he died to save us from sin- and live within us so we will not sin. Absolutely He is a forgiving God. Jesus did not die to give us permission to break the commandments. If I sin, yes God will forgive me- but there has to be repentance- which is turning away from the sin toward God. Jesus came to fulfill the law not to abolish it. True Christians do not use the death of Jesus as a free license to sin and then go to him for forgiveness- we know that His death gave us life, and we desire to live a life that pleases Him- granted I do not live a perfect life, and I do have an advocate to go to for forgiveness, but that does not give me permission to sin and than expect God to forgive me. The gift of salvation is grace- which is free- however it is not cheap- it cost Jesus His life.

You're looking just at the 10 commandments when there were like 600 plus laws...so the bottom line ..is the law was given to men not for them to break the law..but that through the law men would know sin even existed...and that sin was exceeding sinful...but Jesus came to fufill the law..which was to become the payment for sin...and by doing so..he showed that the law is not the saving key ..but the law also was given to show God is and was righteous...So Jesus is the righteouness of God..in that ...he paid for our sins...It is just a matter of your perception...Godbless

I am a Christian and I believe God is forgiving and if we truly believe in him and his son, you would want to follow his rules, and if these are your beliefs, you would never commit such vial crimes. I don't think in your heart you can beleive in a pure loving God and then turn around and murder, ect.. God isn't stupid and he is going to just let someone off the hook for their crimes. He also doesn't want evil in heaven with him so I think he has it figured out and has a pretty good plan. I just love him and do the best I can and don't do things that beyond go against him.

ok at first, you're asking 4 questions somewhat of one million. next, get rid of the understanding "Commandments", you're focusing obsessively on it. Now to respond to your questions: one million. Jesus died on the pass to pay the penalty for the sin of the completed international. 2. No, and huh? you do not specify what you think of "the penalty for breaking those commandments" is. 3. you're meant to repent on your sin. in case you at the instant are not a Christian, you at the instant are not anticipated to try this. Repentance is a few thing a guy or woman does while they grow to be a Christian. in case you prefer to equate "sin" with "disobeying commandments" i think you're able to do this. 4. sure, yet you nonetheless do not say what you think of the "commandments" are, so i'm uncertain what to tell you previous that.
