My mom wants to make a hot alchoholic drink for our family get-together this Christmas Eve. Preferably not too strong and it can't have dairy in it because my brother and I are lactose intolerant. Is there such a thing as mulled wine? Does anyone have any ideas?

How about hot-apple cider with a bit of hot damn in it. Or hot-apple cider with Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.

Warm mulled wuine is the best xmas drink that most everyone could enjoy. Take a deep red wine bring to a simmer on the stove add cloves and cinamon sticks, orange slices. keep at a moderate temperature. next there i9s always a simple spiced rum with hot apple cider with an added cinamon stick.

Glühwein and Feuerzangenbowle these words are a little overwellming I know but try to find them on the internet. I´m living in Germany right now and it´s at all the Christmas markets. Everyone is drinking this very common.

Yes you can get wine with mulling spices included and all you do is heat it up. You might also like hot toddys or spiced cider. Here's a website I use. Hope it gives you more ideas

Maybe Glühwein ??
It's a mix of red wine, orange, lemon and herbs.
Original it's Austrian (drinking it during the apres-ski).

Some warm apple juice with Goldschlager is delicious! And you can make it as strong as you like. It tastes very much like a cider but cinnamony!

i've always been a big fan of hot chocolate with pepermint schnapps, put a candy cane in it an dit looks pretty and tastes real good.

make glögg! its a swedish hot drink drank expecially during x mas! u can put almonds and raisins into it and its oh so yummy! and sweeet! and doesnt have to be strong.

Try a warm egg nog with brandy in it,it's pretty good
