Now, I live in a place where there are almost no jews, but most of the people around me and I myself have a deep respect for jewish people. (chosen--meaning "assigned a special task" not "better") that's because of our belief in the Bible.

Why does it seem that so many people are threatened by that?

what? YOU MAKE NO SENSE.

Wasn't alive in 1939-1945. My grandfather fought in World War 2. How dare you?

the Bible does not say that the jews are no longer His chosen people. They didn't accept Jesus, but God still has great things for them. Revelation!!!! and Romans also talks about not looking down on jews.

God will not forsake His promise to Abraham.

They were given palestine after world war 2. Maybe that was unfair, but they didn't take it.

I think that antisemitism has some supernatural elements to it.
No other people on earth have been persecuted like the Jews, so who's behind it? Satan, the enemy of God. Satan knows that if the Jews are destroyed then God is made into the liar that he is not, after all Paul says, "Although every man be a liar, God is not."
God made promises to the Jews that he has yet to break, but his enemy, Satan, is working to destroy the Jews and God's promise and to disrupt Biblical prophecy.
After all, if the Jews cease to exist, then Jesus cannot return. All prophecies have to fall into place before Jesus can return, including the acceptance of him as their Messiah.

I've been reading _Warrant for Genocide_ by Norman Cohn, which looks at the history of anti-semitism, especially as in Europe. Look for it in your library (you'll probably be able to find it inter-library loan), it's one of the better studies of this sort.

Basic thesis is that the initial anti-Jewish writings came from Church fathers like John Chrysotoam who were concerned with getting their flocks to stop thinking of themselves as Jewish.

These texts were dredged up and embellished throughout history by people with various agendas. Things like Russian czars who didn't want to acknowledge that any of their population would oppose them, so they falsely attributed assasinations and such to Jews. In short, Jews became a convenient scape-goat, an 'other' that lived next to, but not of, their society.

Minority populations have often been subjected to severe restrictions on rights, including prohibitions on owning land or certain occupations (the Roma are another example). Because they tended to be literate but couldn't own land, Jews were often forced into occupations like money-lending or tax-collecting. Governments especially liked the latter as it let them dodge public anger over taxes, which would then get dissipated in a pogrom or two.

Today, the neo-con movement is quite happy to front and center a few people with obviously Jewish names. A lot of legitimate criticism of the neo-con actions is thus mis-directed onto the myth of the 'Jewish conspiracy'. The Bush regime has its own agenda in Israel, which is conveniently hidden behind the neo-cons Jews. This is standard operating procedure.

People believe it. Largely because they don't know much about Jewish people. The real conspiracy is pockets that have existed throughout history to exploit both Jewish talent and unfounded animosity towards Jewish people.

There are genuinely a volume of exciting theological responses to the Holocaust in Jewish theory - now not surprising for the variety of huge and devastating celebration. One is to invoke theodicy - "we haven't any concept why God permitted it, whether He has his purposes." maximum human beings hit upon that unconvincing, or maybe offensive, whether it works for some. possibly lots greater offensive is the theory that it was one way or the different triggered the Jews as a punishment. returned, a procedures from a majority attitude, whether in all likelihood the main lots non secular do evaluate it. on the different ingredient are those human beings who've chosen to look it as a demonstration now not that God does not exist in any admire, whether that our perception of God as an entity that could intrude in human affairs is inaccurate. This view is many circumstances expressed by using ability of asserting that events such because of the fact the Holocaust are a results of God's option to grant humanity loose will. yet another technique is that accompanied by using ability of Fackenheim: Jews are forbidden to grant Hitler a posthumous victory. in accordance to this view, theory in God is a lot greater splendid after the Holocaust. finally, there are needless to say a great volume of human beings who evaluate you, that the Holocaust has proved that there is not any God.

Reading the Bible carefully makes it quite clear that the Jews regard themselves as the "Chosen People" not using the meaning you have giving the expression, but indeed meaning "better". And that does not square with the concept of a just God.

Since the Jews were the first to accept Gog as God and make the covenant between themselves via Abraham and Isaac and accepted the 10 Commandments the Jews are supposed to be the moral leaders of the world. STEPHANIE:

There is a long history of prejudice against the Jews and persecution by others. The basic premise as I have heard it is that they try to take all your money. I have heard of jew lawyers and jew bankers, etc. even in jokes.

I grew up not knowing any Jewish people and all I really knew of them (other than the prejudice and jokes) was that they were a part of the history of Christianity and of the horrible things done to them by Hitler and his followers.

Now, my best friend is Jewish. We love to talk about our different faiths and discuss the many commonalities between us.
GOD BLESS YOU

Because then they would have to admit that God exists. Judging from some of the postings on this page, there aren't very many of us who believe. But, I know better. He LIVES! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

It is not the Jews they are a against it is God. Because He says they are His people and they can never be destroyed therefore there are those who want to destroy them just to prove God is not God.

I think any people who found a state by the gun saying its Gods Will are dangerous and there is something seriously wrong with any nation that supports this.
