I've experience what you are talking about too. I'm a U.S. Citizen of German heritage. I grew up with other children occasionally calling me "kraut" or "nazi", even though my ancestors left German more than 100 years before WWII.

Unfortunately, no matter who you are, what your ethnic background, what you look like, or what you believe, you are going to find someone who does not like it and will find a name to call you which is designed to make you feel bad about yourself. These people are ashamed of something about themselves and the only way they know how to deal with it is to try to shame someone else. Small minded people are in every culture, every community, every school, every work-place.

Just try to not be like them, be proud of your heritage and proud of yourself as a person. If there is something that you don't like about yourself, know that the thing to do is to change it. If there is something you are not proud of in your heritage, take comfort in the fact that you were not there, and you did not take part in it. If there is something you do not like about your past, do your best to make amends, apologize for it, and endeavor not to repeat the mistake. None of us are perfect, everyone has made mistakes.

The answer is never to put someone else down for being who they are. And when someone else does it to you, retaliation never is as satisfying as you think it should be. You will be ashamed of yourself for stooping to their level. Forgive them and move on.

You poor thing!

Though I must say, those people are certainly fools. If they don't know that the Soviet Union broke up years ago, then they ought to go back to school. They're disgraced, not you. Don't listen to them. But if you really don't want anyone to call you a "communist", you could just avoid telling them your nationality. Personally, I wouldn't care. I'd be proud to be Russian, as they have accomplished much in society. They excel in just about every category, including athletics, technology, etc. Russia a beautiful country.

Dasveedanya :)

Never heard that before. I've heard many other analogies towards me though. Like vodka, KGB, russian mafia, hockey. And I'm not into any of those things. Kind of pisses me off when it's done for 20th time or so.
Back to your question - I suppose it's your peers who say that, since I doubt that adults will do this. Just say back to them "You're a little slow, USSR fell apart almost 20 years ago and took communism with it." Just don't start explaining that you're not a communist, you have nothing to do with that blah-blah... Don't get defensive or apologize for other people's stupidity.

Oh my. i might experience terrible too, yet..who does that? So It wasn't on her backside? It replaced into on her female spot? it relatively is thoroughly incorrect. I advise yeah possibly he replaced into changing her diaper and approximately to place yet another one on, yet that doesn't excuse what he replaced into doing. Are you one hundred% particular you observed precisely that? if so you will possibly be saving her from something very severe and could be grateful besides the shown fact that it feels so crappy. Is it her genuine dad or a step father? Did he proceed to try this with you there? Ugh..makes me sick thinking approximately it. do no longer complication. If it relatively is actual what you observed..then believe which you probably did the the terrific option factor.

Tell them that the only communists today are in the Demorat Party. Russia hasn't been officially communist for almost twenty years. Merry Christmas.

In the long run a person is judged by his actions, not his label. Live your life the best you can and let the naysayers say what they want. God will be the final judge.

The problem is obviously theirs, not yours. They're just ignorant, and best left alone. People like that drain your energy and are a waste of time.
