If you do happen to stain your skin, don't worry, rubbing alcohol will remove dye stains from your skin

I've had luck using a gentle, yet slightly abraisive facial scrub or body wash. The little beads and/or sand-like material that is in these products seems to help wear the stain away. I just dab a bit on a warm washcloth, and very gently rub the area.

I would guess that any face/body product that is slightly gritty would work, but I've used Neutrogena's Deep Clean gentle face scrub: http://www.neutrogena.com/ProductsDetails_156.asp?lProductLineID=13
