The lasagne sounds great as everyone loves lasagne. I would serve it with a huge bowl of salad, lettuce, onions, tomato, cucumber, olives and a dressing. Then I would make garlic bread!
Crudites and dips etc, I would have out when people arrive for them to nibble on before the meal!
Enjoy .. sounds like a nice dinner!

Lasagna is great!
Not so sure about the salads, though. Rice is not so good with the pasta, and coleslaw is better with fried stuff. But a vegetable salad with french dressing would match very well.
And you can make garlic bread: Mix butter with lots of crushed garlic and a little dried oregano, slice a baguette or other white bread and put a generous amount of the garlic butter on top of each slice. Grill it quickly, you don't want to brown the bread, just melt the butter. Lovely!
You can grill the bread after the lasagna is done. Just make everything ready, they only take a minute or two in the oven.

As long as you don't have any vegetarians coming your menu sounds lovely. Most people enjoy lasagne. If you do have veggies coming then do a bolognaise instead, you can make 2 portions - one with meat and one with a meat substitute such as quorn. I'm a meat-eater but I also enjoy quorn in bolognaise - handy if you run out of the meat version!!

Have fun.

If it's for your son's 18th then I'd go with my son's favorite's regardless of what the menu turned out to be! Have fun and enjoy your family.

SOUNDS GREAT BUT I QUESTION THE RICE SALAD. MAYBE GO FOR A SIMPLE CAESAR SALAD WITH CARDINI'S DRESSING AND GARLIC BREAD. FOR DESSERT, A RASBERRY SORBET OR SOME ITALIAN PASTRIES.
