It depends on location and circumstances. A single person living with parents wouldn't need very much. A single person paying for accommodation would need more. Someone with dependents would need more again.
Rent in the major cities probably starts at 400 ytl a month, unfurnished.
Food (minimum) 350 ytl a month (some jobs provide free lunch/luncheon vouchers)
Bills 75 ytl a month
Transport 100 ytl " " (some jobs provide free service buses)
MINIMUM net monthly earnings therefore look to be about 1000ytl a month but this would fund a very basic existence only.
Realistically, to allow for a social life and a few luxuries, 2000 ytl a month is an acceptable minimum income.

Good but relative question. Every people will say different answers for "the minimum to survive" and "to live comfortably".
500-1,500 YTL per month would be the minimum to survive
1,500-3,000 YTL would be good to live
3,000 YTL and more means a comfortable life for a young Turkish male.

I am English & live in Turkey, I can live easy on about £30 a week, £100 per month. The govenment figures are, average wage £22 per week, govenment minimum wage in Turkey is 380YTL, the exchange rate it 2.8 today so thats about £136 per month. Its very cheap to live here & many people live on next to nothing.
