No. The socially responsible would be wise to spend their time helping their own families and friends. And when they are done at home, there are plenty of people asking for help in all areas of the community. People have a right to live their own lives as they see fit.

I don't think the Quiverfull Mothers mean any harm, but they are doing more harm than good in the end. One general manager I worked for homeschools, and the education would be fine except for the fact it puts a bit too much emphasis on religion (they use the Sonlight curriculum, which is good except for that and its overly Eurocentric views, but they publicly say they're working their hardest to correct that part of the problem.) To Billy: I heard of that guy you were talking about--he concerns me to say the least, although he seems like a good person, he also seems like a cult member.

I personally think that when religions get into the arena of birth control and taking their children out of a regular school setting (either religious or secular,) they become cults. My concern is that the recent evangelical movement is a cult, as it fits the definitions well. Who knows the sheer amount of psychological damage the Quiverfull people and their children have gone through by now?

Frankly, I think overpopulation threatens more in populations such as the millions of illegal immigrants in America or the billions of people in China than from a handful of British moms who volunteer to become baby factories.

I don't really think that they are much of a threat other than their children possibly being a drain on society when they get older.
If these backwards people are home schooling their own children then they will remain backward as well and will be no threat to anyone, intellectually anyway.
Out of curiosity, where did the term "Quiverfull" come from. I've never heard it.

What puts you in the category of "Socially responsible?" What makes you morally superior? I know, atheists think they are so much smarter than 95% of the world's population that believe in God.

What do you have against a "Mega Church"? Why is that a part of your question? It's a wonderful thing for thousands of people to come together and share and revel in the love of God. Why wouldn't you support that?

And why are you targeting traditional Christians having many children? There are many other peoples in the world having many children. Where is your scorn for them?

I live in Arkansas, U.S., and we had a Christian politician here that had fathered 15, yes I said 15 children by the same woman and still refused to use any birth control, not because they were catholic, but because they believed that this was gods will, and they said that if god wanted them to stop having children he would intervene. They home schooled, and shopped at thrift stores, Goodwill, Salvation army, etc. just to keep their kids clothed, and when something like this occurs it is every ones business for the sake of the kids involved.

May the Lord Jesus Christ give them the strength, wisdom and power to raise their little warriors.

I will pray that they will all become Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries, Professors of Biblical Theology, Christian music artists, Christian visual artists or other Parachurch group leaders. Onward Christian Soldiers!

O.K., I've never heard of these people, but let me get this straight. These are families who want to have lots of children, devote their lives to the kids care and nurture, live in a two parent home that has a sense of order, and live as best they can according to God's plan for a family?

Hmmmmm....well let's compare that to what's going on now. You might want to re-think this.
