We were talking about this subject at work yesterday. Those men are like brothers to me and YES I would lay down my life for any of them. For those I don't know.. We all agreed that people have done this from time to time we all call the heroes. Now for someone I don't care for.. That would be hard and take all the faith I could muster.. I don't know if I could do it I would pray to God above I could.... Jim

I don't think anyone knows the answer to that question until they find themselves in that position.
Years ago I found myself in the middle of an assassination - the guy next to me was killed, and when I stood up his brains and his blood were on my trousers. I discovered that day I was not afraid to die.
But could I give up my life for someone else? Until the moment happens, I really don't know.

Considering that one can be much more helpfull alive than dead I would tend to disagree.
But also considering that you are reading from tales and legends of the Middle East I understand why what you say does not make much sense, it was not written with tha objective in mind.

i don't know for sure. just too many sadness in this world it's hard to think about love of any kind. just frustrated and tired.
if there really is an armageddon coming wish it'd come now.
