you then have not met a christian....we do not hate the person, we hate the sin....and no, there will be no harmony, until the return of Christ.

I doubt that you'll get any responses saying that anyone hates anyone.
But you know, actions speak louder than words.
One of the problems is how pushy people can be when they want to give you something that they value but you don't.
They don't see their pushing as being anything but wanting to share something very precious with you.
But there OUGHT to be a certain level of politeness; say, the same level of politeness that most people show at dinner parties.
******
If you are giving a dinner party, ad you've spent time and energy and love on preparing the dishes you do best, and made everything perfect, and the crowning achievement is your chocolate mousse...and one of your guests declines, do you PUSH? Do you say "But how can you not want this? What's wrong with you? You know, if you would only try it, I know you'd love it". Do you lecture your guest about the virtues of the chocolate mousse, or even threaten the guest if s/he refuses to accept it?
And if you're the guest, and the host offers you something you don't care for, do you respond with "Are you insane? How could ANYONE want that? Don't insult me by offering that! Only stupid people would ever want chocolate mousse! Do I *look* stupid?" Do you then insult the host for liking chocolate mousse, himself?
Hopefully, none of us would behave that way at a dinner party. How much MORE important, then, is it to exhibit good manners in situations involving something more important than food?
********
I've noticed, myself, that I tend to get more aggressive in my refusal the more insistent others become in pushing something on to me.
I'm going to watch that in myself, because others' bad manners ought not to be an excuse for mine.

So then, why are you judging Christians. You don't appear to be living in harmony with anyone but yourself. If you don't believe, why do you care. And, regardless of what you think of anyone, God still loves you.

You can call a tomato a Cadillac, but it's still a tomato
You can call a person who is hateful a Christian, but...
The overriding message of Christianity is love, and forgiveness and acceptance. People who don't follow that - no matter what may call themselves - are as much Christians as they are a tomato.
Calling it doesn't make it so.

Protestants I know do NOT hate people of other beliefs; they are concerned for them and pray for them. They invite them to play hockey, go bowling, go to see a movie such as "The Nativity" or "The Passion" etc. and attend special church events such as the Christmas or Easter Musical-Drama.

I believe there is more than one path to God. In fact all roads lead to God. Different cultures have different shared understanding and different words/ways of describing God. But really we are all God's children.
Now let us pray for an association of people that prays for and knows the truth of World Peace in their hearts. Through the power of God and prayer, this truth becomes manifest and all the nations and peoples of the world know health, joy, peace, and freedom. -Amen

Sorry Dear, that is an untruth. Many may say they are a Christian, but you will know them by their fruits. Men who gather grapes do not gather thorns and men who gather figs do not gather thistles. If I sit in my garage and say I am a car it does not make me a car. Many sit in church and they profess to be a Christian but they do not walk accordingly. I am sorry for the hate you have experienced. Remember that did not come from God or from God followers. Satan uses his people in many ways. One way is to be a devil in sheeps clothing, that is that they will pretend to be of God but under the surface they are ravenous wolves. A Christian will make a stand for God. A Christians will stand against false teachings and false accusations against the Lord. It will be done in truth and in love. However, many nonbeleivers also accuse those who are walking as Christians of hate when they speak truth. It is sometimes the interpretation of the antichrist persons because they do not hear what they want to hear, when they want to hear it, or how they want to hear it. Are you really sure these acts were in hate or were they in truth and those hearing the word did not want to hear the truth. Remember that God tells Christians that if how we live and what we say & do is making nonbelievers uncomfortable then we are doing the works of God. Those living in sin do not want to hear the truth because then they must change. So very often nonbeleievers attack Christians and accuse them of hate to destroy Gods Holy name.
Parable: If a Father or Mother corrects their children, is it in hate or in love? If a brother or sister reinforces the parents teaching in order to help their brother & sister is it hate or love? At the time we are corrected, guided, disciplined, or explained the truth and we do not want to hear it because we have a drive to do what we want, we resent the discipline or correction. Often children blame their parents for being mean, hateful, and unloving. The wise child who grows up and realizes that they rod of correction was to save them to help them, to correct them, to guide them on the right path...comes to thank the parents and even the siblings for taking the time to care. For loving them and helping them.
You see at the time when we are in sin, God the Father recognizes that and he corrects us to help us. He also has his children, your siblings, the brothers and sisters in Christ, there to help you, to correct you and so on...later you and others will see that the hate you accuse God and your Brothers and Sisters of was really acts of love because we care. It takes spiritual maturity for people to understand....just as it takes maturity for a child to understand the teachings of his/her earthly parents & siblings. You will come to an understanding and love for God and appreciation of Christians if you really are searching for truth and love. If you want to live and denial and blame hate on those who love...your choice but you will be the one without inner peace and love. WE love you enough to help you and to care.
