yup, we do, haven't you heard the old saying,(gross) that we all swallow at least one spider in a life time while we are sleeping, i don't like to think about it either, lol

We swallow about once every 2 minutes while asleep in order to control saliva and to keep the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat moist. Normally, a person swallows about twice a minute when awake.

swallowing is an involuntary reflex in your sleep. otherwise you would drown in your own saliva

No because that's a voluntary muscle movement and we can't do that while sleeping. That's why people drool in their sleep.

Yes, otherwise you would end up with a pile of drool on your pillow. Well, ok sometimes we don't get all of it and there is some drool there. haha
