I am not a new yorker, but i visit my brother there quite often... yes new york is really a great place to visit... whether you take a subway or bus... you will find that each station and stops as different as the next one....here its chinatown, then you get to greenwich, then to little italy, then to brooklyn, then to bronx, to manhattan, to times square-broadway.etc... the list goes on and on. Its a city that is ALIVE !

The city that never sleeps falls asleep by 10 pm. Sad, isn't it? It's all the terrorists' and Bush's fault!
New York City is an awesome place to visit and take vacations. But to live there, No. A good apartment can cost 500k to a million bucks. Also, it is the most expensive town in america. it is the most polite, however. It is an easy commute if you work there. But insurance is probably also costly. and if you own a car and drive it there, it is very easy for it to be damaged, scratched, or dented.

I'm from Brooklyn. I don't live in New York anymore, but I can't wait to get back to my roots!!! There is NO PLACE like New York. You can't get decent pizza, sausage rolls, Italian ices or Chinese food anywhere. Only in New York can you be loud and not have people's heads turning. Everyone is unique in New York. There is no small town mentality. How about....hot pretzels in mid winter. Coney Island franks..... Rockerfeller Center..... Times Square on New Years Eve.... The holiday parades..... New York is a TRUE melting pot.

i wouldn't live anywhere else.its hard to explain why its such a great city, so much to see so much to do. so many people! i love not having a car with all of its expenses and using mass transportation for only 70 bucks a month. so many little unexplored nooks and crannies. the best food hands down anywhere! art and culture around every corner. we just make it work.
