You can buy inexpensive rubber stamps and quickly and easily stamp any kind of decoration on walls (or other stuff) as borders, random patterns or accents using craft paints or even wall paint. Experiment first on some scrap paper or cardboard to figure out what works and see how you like the look. You can get a lot of decorating done for less than five dollars. You can even cut your own rubber stamps out of erasers or sponges or corrugated cardboard or anything you can get that you think might work. Check your local library for books with tips and ideas and have some fun with it!

Instead of a valance at your window or along with it, you might use a garland of your flowers. You could also do this across the top of doorways and/or mirrors. A garland looks nice across the top of a mantel also. Alternatively, you could lay a single rose on a mantel between two tall candles.

In my bedroom I have a standing vase filled with tall silk flowers and berries. I love the way it looks.
