Actually I had that opportunity and turned it away to be with the woman I did mary. She was an old flame from high school and made lots of cash as a photographer and even picked up a huge inheritance. I was starting to date my wife when we ran int each other. We swapped emails, and the temptation was there. I thought, that's an easy livin. In the end though, my heart already belonged t my then girlfriend. I'm happy I was able to give up all of that for the love of my life.
I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

If you marry for love of money, that is wrong.
If you marry someone because you love them and find out later the person is financially well off, you are still marrying for love but will hopefully, be well provided for.
If you marry someone who is not financially well off but loves you and makes a decent living, you are marrying for love.
If you marry a poor man and don't love him, that is ridiculous.
But if you marry someone who is a Christian with a kind heart and you love one another, it is not going to matter what your financial status on this earth is going to be because if you know the Lord and serve Him, you have everything you need.

Well, I am happily married, so it's not a question that applies.
But my Grandmother used to say "It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor one".
On the other hand, there's this place called "enough", and it's a happy place. It doesn't have to be great gobs of cash; just enough to be comfortable and be able to indulge yourself in giving to others.

No. Although money can buy things that would make me happy, it would only be short term. Long after the money runs out, I will have the memories of the happiness my poor husband and I have had together. I think being poor in worldly things is okay as long as you are rich in spirit.

When you grow to the point of understanding what a dead end looks like, it becomes easy to make the right choice every time. A marriage for money is hell. A marriage for and in love is heaven.

I have always liked the advice given by an old Northcountry factory owner to his son- "Dont thou marry for money lad, but go where money is" Very pragmatic. Guess it would work for the ladies as well.

Absolutely not, money is no treasure. It can be stolen, burned up, lost, etc. I've found that the verse "store up for yourselves treasures in heaven" is so very true.
Even Solomon didn't ask God for money, he asked for discernment/wisdom - the money comes with it lol
