Always rinse out the shampoo before you condition. The frothiness of the shampoo is what pulls away the dirt and excess oils. If you don't rinse before you condition, some of these will stay and may make your hair dull and will definitely contribute to things like dandruff.

An extra tip for you: If you want your hair to shine but you don't want it to be oily, rinse in very cool water on a consistent basis. The difference it makes is astounding!

Shampoo Rinse Condition

No, you are not suppossed to shampoo your hair after you have dyed it for at least 24 hours. You leave the dye in as long as the box instructions tell you to (usually about 25-30 minutes) rinse it out and use the special conditioner found in the box with the dye. This will soften your hair and help retain the color you have dyed it. Shampooing will either wash the color out of your hair or alter it making it lighter or a slightly different tint. Yes, you are suppossed to dye your hair when it is dirty. The natural oil your hair produces helps your hair folicules obsorb the dye down to the roots. If you feel like using the conditioner makes your hair feel really greasy, you may not need to use the whole packet. Try half or 3/4 of it. Add a little bit at a time until your hair feels conditioned and not overly greasy to you. Hope this helps :)

Shampoo Rinse Condition then rinse again

First you shampoo of course, then rinse, then condition, then rinse again. Unless you use a leave in conditioner which is great to use.
