Smoothy Chocolate Cookies
This recipe was inspired by a well known motel chain that features a signature cookie on their pillow. The actual recipe, with one very notable variation can be found on bags of chocolate chips offered by several companies. The preparation time does NOT include the time needed to freeze the chocolate chips.

This is my absolute favorite chocolate cookie recipe. I give it to everyone who asks for something chocolate or a bit different. You start out with a soft chocolate cookie on the bottom, thumb-print it and add a maraschino cherry. Then you drizzle with a gooey chocolate sauce that firms up just a bit when cooking. These cookies are verrrrry yummy.

I'm big on chocolate chip cookies, but even bigger on Alton Brown's recipes. What he offers you are three types: The Chewy, The Puffy, or the Thin, They are no longer on the Food Network Site but they are on the web. They are all great cookies so pick your preference.
