Hi , I just tested this method. Highlight the column you want to alph. (make sure what you want to alph is contained in one column) Go to Data-A-Z sort, choose ascending or descending where the column you selected is showing. then choose whether or not your Column has a name header row. If it does choose yes . You want to leave the column title where it is and not Alph. it as well- click ok.

Type your data, then place cursor at the top of the column. Click on Data, then Sort. The sort will show the column your cursor is in. Click on Options at the bottom of the box, to be sure the selection is Normal. Be sure the selection on the right is set to Ascending, so it doesn't sort backwards. Click on OK, and your column is sorted alphabetically. Do this for each column. I never tried to sort more than one column at a time.

To alphabetize a list in excel is easy.

1. First type your list. Start at cell A1, type the first word and hit return.

2. The box A2 will be highlighted for you to type your second word.

3. Continue doing that until your whole list is typed as a column.

4. Highlight your whole list.
