Years ago I met a girl and fell in love with her. We both ended up marrying other people. I'm single now and looked her up and found out she's single too and we've been talking alot. I want to be with her but am afraid. What if it doesn't work out, what if she tells me she changed her mind? She tells me she loves me and not to worry about it, she's not going to change her mind. She's beautiful and I worry she'll find another man and be with him. But how do I get rid of these self doubts? We saw each other a week ago and it was almost like magic, we hit it off great and the look in her eyes said she really does love me. I love her so much and yet these self doubts are there.

what if she finds someone better,,what if she is lying, what if she is just playing you, what if your feet blow up and she doesnt like a man with no feet, what if you fall off a cliff,,,,,,,,,,whats with all the what ifs? you cant go through life thinking of what might happen because you may just miss what is actually happening,,every relationship has its risks and drawbacks but no one would ever be with anyone else if we listened to the little voice of doubt all the time,,take a chance,,,,the worse that can happen is it doesnt work out but surely thats better than not trying at all! that voice will recede,,it will go away with every touch of your hands, with every day you are together and it doesnt end with you exploding or your feet coming off.be happy with what you can have not what you feel you could lose.

The self doubting you have to control, it probably has a great deal to do with your marriage ending. Give yourself sometime. And always keep in mind you can not control another human being, what ever ii is it will be. Just be yourself and enjoy the moment. It appears that she is interested in you, just take it slow and enjoy the time the two of you share together, do not rush into anything. Good luck and God bless****

Sounds wonderful...Why miss an opportunity that could be the best of your life????

If it turns out to be a mistake, then handle it as it comes. It is no
crime to make a mistake...but it is foolish to sit back and watch life pass you by because you are too afraid to go for it.

If you fiddle around too long, another man may take a fancy to your sweetie. So make your move now. I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Stop doubting yourself! If you continue to doubt yourself, you will lose your chance to have a happy life with this woman. Take a chance and stop worrying about it!!

Go with the flow, she seems to love you, give her a chance unless she gives you a reason to doubt her love.

Give it a try! What do you have to lose? It might be the best love you ever had, but you'll never know unless you try! Good Luck!!

You have to trust her. No relationship can ever flourish without trust. I had the same problem, couldn't believe that my girl would want to be with me. But you've got to believe her if you want to have a relationship- otherwise no, it won't even have a chance to work.

Don't waste your time worrying about 'what ifs'. You're going to spoil things by worrying. take it as it comes, dont rush. if you're meant to be together you will be. I mean you still found eachother after all this time.

Your self esteem is pretty low. What makes you think she is not scared someone else will snatch you? You are not some Frankenstein looking monster are you?
