crack egg into your washed open hand. with you fingers slightly apart use your fingers as a strainer. yolk stays on your hand, egg whites go through. good luck

I have never had a problem doing that. You need to make a straight clean cut, crack over a cup or bowl, and keep the side with the yolk kind of upright as you let the white run off into the bowl. Then just flip the yolk into the other half shell and keep transfering it back and forth till there is no more white.

When you put the yolk into another bowl (and if you want you don't have to) you may want to pick off the umbilical cord thing with a forth by puncturing the yolk and sliding it up the bowl.

I'll look at that you tube thing too and see if I came close...LOL

Crack the egg over a bowl and gently transfer the yolk from one half of the shell to another. Be careful not to snag the yolk on the shell.
Another method is an egg separator spoon. Crack the egg into the spoon. The central part holds the yolk while the white drains through the wide slots.

No method is completely fool proof, sorry.

crack one, and play ping pong with the yolk using the two sides of shell, lettin the egg white drip beneath into a bowl.

I also have to go with the finger method. I do a lot of baking and this is the easiest and quickest way, although it is kind of gross :)

I'm going to second the finger method, it does work.
