Hey genius! I've got a pretty good idea what you should do. Instead of asking people on yahoo who are 99.9% not doctors. Get out from in front of your computer and go get yourself checked out. But if you must have my educated opinion it could be heart problems but without numbness in your arms, and the symptoms that you give of the choking feeling and the time occurances I think you are having a problem with acid reflux desease, so you want want to go ask your doctor about that.

This might potentially be esophageal. Your esophagus (the tube that takes meals to the belly) is also feeling the reflux of extra belly acid splashing again up which may also be very painful. Consider what you may have not too long ago eaten final. Try an antacid and restrict some thing for the night time with acid similar to citrus juices or highly spiced meals. I determined "Alka-Seltzer for Heartburn Relief" to supply nearly on the spot comfort while I've had ache of this nature. If you should not have an antacid, get a milkshake or a few ice cream. If it keeps, see a Dr.

This could be many things but I would not delay going to a doctor. This could be anything from something easy like acid reflux to a more serious heart problem. Try to think about the pain and if anything relieves it. Like, does leaning forward relieve the pain? Do antacids help the pain? What kind of things precipitate the pain? Does it hurt while you are still in bed? Do you have to prop yourself up at night to sleep?
In other words, we really need more information before we can accurately answer your question but truly only your doctor can definitively diagnosis your condition.

I am not a doctor, but have experienced the same sensation and it can be very scary. I went to the emergency room on one occasion and then to my doctor. It turned out to be acid reflux, which is basically acid eating away at the lining of my esophagus.
Per the doctor's advice, I cut certain things out of my diet and the problem has gone away almost completely.
The culprits that affected me were: coffee, peanuts, chocolate, tomatoes.
I would definitely see a doctor, but it's very possible that acid reflux could be your problem.
Good luck!

This is something your going to have to make an appointment to see your doctor about Miss. You do give us much to go on here and we're really not equipped to deal with a problem with such magnitude. I wouldn't wait and in fact I would go now if that's possible for you.

It maybe heartburn, but I would seriously get yourself to your doctor. Rather be safe than sorry. I use to get a burn in my chest that use to go through to my back. I had it checked out and it was bad heartburn. Certain foods dont agree with me. So carry Rennies with me at all times. Go have it checked out. Dont play around with your "heart". Pleeeeeeeze
