You poor thing, having a new baby and being broke is a nasty thing, I have been there. Alliance and Leicester have a good loan rate and it's really easy to fill in, they call you back practically as soon as you have completed the on line form and the money is with you in days. I applied for a loan for £1000 and I was to pay back about £60 a month. Think very carefully about getting a loan, very best of luck to you x

In all honesty, I don't recommend accrueing more debt to pay for the baby. However, if you MUST be late, notify all your creditors in advance of the situation and try to work out a payment plan with them. Whatever you do, DON'T BE LATE MORE THAN 30 DAYS.
After 60 days, you'll be reported to the credit bureaus.
After 180 days, you'll go into collections.
If you absolutely have to get a loan, consider first contacting local church or charities to see if you can get assistance from the community. You probably won't be able to get a commercial loan because you have no income.
Also, where's the father?

Debbie, the situation is admittedly tight.
As some said, more debt might not help. There is another way out of the situation - get help from another person. There is an organization that helps bail out people from just such situations.
Contact Modest Needs, apply for help... and let's hope for the best. You don't have to pay them back, until one day you are able to pay it forward by bailing another person out.
Good luck!

Your probably not going to get a loan while on maternity leave. You better wait until you get back to work before you try.

Something wrong if you are on maternity leave but don't get wages till you get back to work. Go to the Citizens Advice Beuro and get some. (Advice)

You should visit your council and ask about a crisis loan, they'll interview you and if they agree to help, will send you on your way on the same day with a loan.
