Sad but there are people who try to make themselves feel better by insulting/ridiculing others. I pity them. They couldn't have much knowledge if any, of what soul-searching really is.

you have every right to ask that question as there does seem to be a lot of ignorance, from all sides...but equally, sometimes it may seem as though people are deliberately asking provocative questions when the questions themselves could be out of geniune curiosity and that person just wants someone to set the record straight....not only that, but it gives everyone the equal opportunity to respond with the answer that they deem is the correct one...however..I agree, some comments are just insulting , but then, I'd figure that the inflammatory comments are from people who could care less about the questions being asked in the first place...therefore, it's better to just ignore those people

However, why stop at just people being uneducated in relgious teachings....what about those that are uneducated in science topics and yet choose not to learn...how can you form a cohesive argument against any scientific theory if you don't understand the concepts?

Good question though, because ignorance is everywhere, in this forum, in life, everywhere.

I don't profess to know about Muhammad or a whole lot about Judaism, but I know about God, Religions and Christianity. I try to answer from the heart based on knowledge and what I have learned and studied. I am a Christian who was a librarian for a long time and took advantage of having many answers at my fingertips. I am spiritual and try to be a faithful, pure person. When someone asks a question here, I don't even respond if I can't answer with respect and truth. However, I have ENCOUNTERED scads of ignorance, very surprisingly so in its quantity.
Peace.

I have noticed a very large number who are just here to spout off insults. They are not even interested in the answers. If they answer questions it is just for the purpose of generating more insults.
I try to answer as well as I can and in finding some of the answers I have learned. I have also seen questions that were impossoble to answer, because there is no data that would give an answer.

All Messengers Ridiculed

[21:36] When those who disbelieve see you, they ridicule you: "Is this the one who challenges your gods?" Meanwhile, they remain totally heedless of the message from the Most Gracious.

[21:37] The human being is impatient by nature. I will inevitably show you My signs; do not be in such a hurry.

[21:38] They challenge: "Where is that (retribution), if you are truthful?"

[21:39] If only those who disbelieve could envision themselves when they try to ward off the fire - off their faces and their backs! No one will help them then.

[21:40] Indeed, it will come to them suddenly, and they will be utterly stunned. They can neither avoid it, nor can they receive any respite.

[21:41] Messengers before you have been ridiculed, and, consequently, those who ridiculed them incurred the retribution for their ridiculing.

They Ridiculed the Believers

[23:109] "A group of My servants used to say, `Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and shower us with mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful.'

[23:110] "But you mocked and ridiculed them, to the extent that you forgot Me. You used to laugh at them.

[23:111] "I have rewarded them today, in return for their steadfastness, by making them the winners."

[23:112] He said, "How long have you lasted on earth? How many years?"

[23:113] They said, "We lasted a day or part of a day. Ask those who counted."

[23:114] He said, "In fact, you stayed but a brief interim, if you only knew.

[23:115] "Did you think that we created you in vain; that you were not to be returned to us?"

[23:116] Most exalted is GOD, the true Sovereign. There is no other god beside Him; the Most Honorable Lord, possessor of all authority.

[23:117] Anyone who idolizes beside GOD any other god, and without any kind of proof, his reckoning rests with his Lord. The disbelievers never succeed.

[23:118] Say, "My Lord, shower us with forgiveness and mercy. Of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."

the main off-base remark i even have ever made approximately Boston is "Boston? It could no longer in all probability be extra suitable than Chicago?" I in no way thought i might like a city as much as Chicago... and then I went to Boston. It blew me away. once I get my degree i visit hunt for jobs completely around that city.

well, i gerally don't answer questions about islam or muhammed, because i don't know anything about it. but i do answer questions about Jesus (yay!) and the Bible (yay!) because i know about it. i don't know everything, but most of the questions are simple ike:
i don't understand the trinity,
and
why did Jesus come to earth?

i'm sorry you are so negative, though. maybe if you had a little more respect for people's beliefs then you could understand better where they are coming from.

God Bless

I agree......if the question or comment states what should be factual information, however, if the question or comment is opinon based, then that would be the purpose of posting it on this blog.
