It seems to me that virtually all of the questions that relate to religion, belief, creed are just designed to inflame and antagonise. Of all the questions I'd like to see disappear from Answers, it has to be questions relating to religion that I'd most like to see go.

Too true, it just seems to be a sounding board for those who have nothing better to do than see how much anger they can cause. I guess it's a cowards way of being a bully.

>designed to inflame and antagonise.

If you search through the muck left by 1) trolls, and 2) people who came on here with the idea that they were going to convert a few people to their view of things (religious and non btw) by being a Righteous Crusader For Truth On The Internet, you find some sincere interesting questions.

Well, Y!A has nicely categorized the questions so that if you never come into the R&S section, it will look like they are gone.

I agree. Most of the time I see a great deal of negativity being spread around. This place seems to have become a cyberspace battlefield for the war between believers and non-believers. I have to wonder what benefit these people realize after devoting so much energy to slamming someone else's lifestyle.

Know what you mean love. What intrigues me are the atheists, they just can't leave the Religious Question Site alone. If I was an atheist and sure of my convictions, I wouldn't waste my time and energy trying in vain to persuade committed Christians and other Faith Followers to abandon their beliefs! Such a thing as "closet believers"?

Yes, people can't stand to see their beliefs questioned, however, and understandably so. I'd just like to see people stop answering those questions with verses from the bible.
