I have 2002 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L sedan. It has 90,000+ on it. Anyone own a sonata that is older than 2002?

If you are, how long do you think this car handle? All maintenances are done.

oh... please read before writing any comments. And 30,000 and die? My hyundai has 90,000+ and it hasn't died on me yet.
And please proof read before you post one.
This detail is written specifically to the second comment. Thanks.

well being a Hyundai mechanic i have worked on cars with the same sort of mileage. and a lot of them are still running fine and very clean. the only ones that are not are the ones where the owners have not keep up the services. but if there serviced regularly you will not have a problem with it.

If it has been maintained well it is probably a good vehicle. You didn't mention price so I can't comment on value. If I had a choice between a 2002 Sonata and a 2002 Accord in similar condition I would go with the Accord.

I have the same car, same year though I am not sure if mine is a 2.4L. I do know that it is a V6. Here's my point, I do have one.. :) I have nearly 80k miles on mine and (knock on wood) have yet to experience any trouble. I think they are very well made cars. Consumer Reports ranked them very high as a pre-owned car (I bought mine used in '05). I had done a lot of research to get to buying this car. I know you were looking for info from owners with older cars but I hope this helps anyway.

I do own one but its 2004 model, but either ways there isn't much difference in the engine and a sedan engine can run with ease till about 300,000+ so don't worry.
