If you open the bonnet, straight in front of you etched into the bulkhead, you will find the 17 alpha/numeric chassis number for older models or newer models left handside lower windscreen usually hidden by the passenger side windscreen wiper, ther is a small plate behind the screen or same model, slide drivers seat fully back and just underneath the front support for the seat lift the small peice of carpet and there it should be.

On older models I think it is just inde the driver's door under the carpet. I think that newer models have it on the passenger's side just inside the door.

on the drivers side ,on the dash inside the wind screen ,i think
