How do you gain a close female friend's trust???Why wouldn't she trust you???
I don't treat friends badly, mess girls around, etc
Is there anything I can do\say to show her that I am a genuine guy???

She's told me that she can only open up to me about certain issues and she does feel comfortable around me...

just do what you do,be a gentleman, and maybe she'll come around,yah man, u gotta earn it,and u will eventually =]

Its hard to give up if its become addictive. Anyway Log In into Y!A only during peak hours(I guess 5-8pm is peak for Indians).Keep a target like answering only 10-15 questions/day and posting 3questions/day then log off. After coming from college have Ur lunch and have a nap for some 30min.This way u can be fresh and awake till 11pm or even more to do Ur college work. 3hours of concentrated study/day(with breaks of 15min after every 45min)is more than enough to get to the top in any college degree and u have weekends too with more free hours.I think I don't need to advice u like "concentrate on your studies its more important".U are a grown up person and u know which is more important to u. I was like u before but now decreased the time I spend in Y!A considerably.There are persons who care more about u,living with u and who are near u(parents,brother,sister,friends),do spend some time with them too.I'm pretty sure that the time u spend with them might have decreased considerably after u got into Y!A.They are more important than Ur online friends.From what I have seen u can't guess a person's true character online its the person who are near u and interact with u face to face are more real. As time goes by decrease the time u spend in Y!A.

Maybe she's not the type to open up to guy friends. I don't know but I have guy friends and when it comes to trust, i really trust them because they really listen. Maybe your friend is not just comfortable talking things with a guy. I guess in friendship, trust comes gradually you know. It takes time, just let her know you are always there.

If your an honest guy then just keep doing what your doing. In time she'll will give you her trust. Theres nothing you can do particulary to gain someones trust.

This may have nothing to do with you, she may have been mistrusted alot in her past. If you truely care about her just keep treating her right and eventually you'll earn her trust.
