This happened years ago, but i remembered it today for some reason....

I have this bone or something in my foot that, when pressed too hard the wrong way, sort of pops out of place. It's rather painful.

My then boyfriend wanted to give me a foot massage, but as he was kind heavy handed with stuff like that, i said no thanks. i wasn't rude about it or anything, and gave my reasons, but he threw a huge hissy fit and said i had "trust issues".

what the hell? I know it doesn't matter now, but i'm just wondering. or was he just a tempermental w a n k e r?

i think your description of him as a "temperamental wanker" is completely correct and you are very smart for making him an ex bf...hope you are feeling better with your foot now and have a new bf who is not a temperamental wanker!

I dont' think that you have trust issues ... it's your foot and you dont' want it to hurt !! since you know that he's heavy handed you said something and maybe he got defensive. He just wanted to make you happy, and you saying that maybe bothered him. Just talk it over. It usually works.

both of you have trust issues...

you could not trust him to becareful about your bone... and he could not trust u for your reason for not having the foot massage done

He was a goon. You probably don't have a trust issue. You had a legitimate reason. Don't worry.

It sounded like you had a good reason to say no, he's a jerk for not understanding
