Imagine you have a child, a very good child who never gets in trouble, yes sir, no maam. Your child gets a full scholarship to Harvard. Then you see a news bulletin that your child shot three students for no reason, you go to see him and he expresses no remorse, and refuses to see you. Later he receives the death penalty. years later you get a phone call---" Dad, they are going to execute me tomorrow morning, and they say I can have one person there, I want you to be there." He hangs up.---Will you go? Why? because it is your child? Do you still love your child? My point is--if you can love your child that much, Can God love you even more? Once a son is always a son. It is the height of arrogance to believe that we can love more than God. You might not get the shiniest crown in Heaven someday, based on how you live, but God will no more disown you for failure than you would your own child, God being more capable of love.

Do you agree?

Well said. I am so happy now that I know I'll never have to do or go through anything ever again...alone. Without Jesus in my life, there would be no life. His promise to us is that He would never leave us or forsake us. And that is a promise you can count on. my friend.

If I had a child, and something horrible like that happened for whatever poor choice they did it, even without remorse and if the child refused to see me... the love that was developed for my child before that action would've outweighed ever wanting to forsake a child. Once you're a parent, you're never given a choice to step out of that role. It's not optional ethicly and morally speaking. I agree that God is more capable of love when it comes to the bible; however, humans can still have the same amount of compassion -for the very fact that I am able to emapthize with that scenario from what I've experienced with my own mother. I've left God, and I've also left her home to live with my dad at one point, but she's still loved me nonetheless because she gave birth to me, raised me, and tried the best she was capable of doing for my sake(imperfections here and there, but accepted for the obvious fact that it's reality) I understand that, I feel that connection. It's a love that can't be taken away no matter an action. I do think this is possible. I've experienced it with my own mother, just in different scenarios with the same moral.

Like Eli, at what point does a parent condone such bad behavior, that it is the same as if you are the bad person.
It is like saying every one has got to believe, repent, be saved, do right but the one that is doing wrong. That is fine for him? No tough love? No restrictions?
I do not believe in the heaven and hell of religions.
I believe when Jesus gets through with mankind, if any are LOST, only self is to blame.
We are told Gog and Magog are LOST.
Some will not help them selves and no one else can help them. 2Tim.3:1-7; Matt.10:34-38; Take up your cross and follow Jesus.

My answer to the question: No, I wouldn't go. Not because I didn't care for my child, but I couldn't stand to see my child's death occur in front of me in that manner.

On another point: You say that God will love you because of being his child. But why is it that most people believe that if you do certain things during your lifetime, then you will not be loved or accepted. Such as being homosexual, being a different religion, not believing in God.

I love my child thats for sure. IF he gets into trouble the way you describe in your interesting little tale, I'll rent expensive lawyers and he will be declared innocent, just like OJ.

For the God stuff I just know that God is a Flying Spaghetti Monster and that He wiggles His noodley appendages. For the rest I am not sure

Yes, we can become sinless and righteous before God. In fact its a command from God, for He told us to be perfect just as He is perfect. The reason why preachers today say this is impossible is because they have never been born again and teach a false gospel that cannot make anyone holy and righteous before God. Churches today are really factories producing sinners, and...the bible tells us in Matt 7:21-23 sinners will never be allowed into heaven. So why attend these fake churches??? The correct gospel that makes us holy and sinless is the one called the water and the Spirit (1 John 5: 6-11). This is the full and complete atonement for our sins, His baptism and His blood on the Cross. But the church today rejects this and only believe in one part of it, that of His death on the Cross. Now tell me honestly can they ever be forgiven their sins if they insult God like this? No of course not! That is why Jesus said, "Many are called but few are chosen." Also in Matt 7:21-23 He tells us that MANY will stand before Him on that day protesting their innocence, but all He will do is tell them..."I never knew you!!!" What a calamity!!! If only they listened to this truth and believed. I have Free Christian books for you on this very subject....just mail me and ask.

God is love we cannot exceed His love. The quality of God's love is defined in 1 Cor 13 includes, 'bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things , endures all things.' God's love is a fruit of the Spirit which grows in us as we attach ourselves to the vine (Jesus) and learn and experience His love for us. We love because He first loves us. We love as He has loved us. His love has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit to empower us to love with His love.

No i wouldn't forsake my child. And also i do agree with you, i believe god's love for us is far greater than we can possibly imagine(that's why he sacrificed his only son Jesus Christ to forgive our sins)

God can love more, because we as humans tend to judge. God loves everybody, but he hates the sin, people find it very hard to separate the two.

God doesn't disown anyone for failure. He respects a person's decision and doesn't violate their will when they reject Him. He's not willing that any should perish.
