Now, I know this is a hard question to ask of people I don't even know. So I will understand if you just take the easy way out and say "don't run away, you could get raped, where will you eat/sleep blah blah" because I know the dangers of running away from home. I don't have money, connections, or a predetirmined destination. My 14th birthday is in 5 days. I just need some helpful tips for running away. I beg of you, with all of my heart, just help me. You need to understand that I've cheated my way (100%) though 6th,7th, and now 8th grade. I now have no education to look forward to, my like is a complete mess, I have no friends whatsoever (not even aquantinces) and I don't have the guts to slash my throat. Go ahead and tell me what a dumbass I am. But the people who are honestly willing to give me a straight answer to my question, thank you very much. It's funny to me because kids my age are so stupid. I may not have an education but I'm smart enough to know about the world.

If I think I'm so smart then why would I ask this question? Just forget about it. It's too much to explain.

Hi sweet - until a few months ago I worked as a teacher working with kids with a whole heap of problems. I went into the job because i had a hard time too and often thought about running away or killing myself.
I know people have a whole load of reasons for feeling like you do now and i can't tell you what to do. I am not judging you in any way. Before you do anything please follow a bit of advice from someone who knows what it's like to feel as low as yyou do now.
Give yourself a few days to calm down a bit - arguements with parents can be really nasty but could soon blow over.
If you are suicidal or at risk from others call the samaritans or childline (for an immediate threat -police)- talk through your problem with somebody who can listen and give impartial advice.
email me and I wont judge you natalieedwards2006@hotmail.co.uk
Although it's really hard to believe right now there is usually a solution just around the corner. You can always resit an exam, talk through a problem, and meet new people who will give you the love and kindness you deserve.
Send me an email and I will try my best to help.

Yall are all dumbasses i hope you don't make it to new york and if you do you won't know what to do when you get there. You are really stupid if you actually think this is goin to work. Like is your life so hard you have to run away from it? Well let me tell you something atleast you don't live on the streets, or be a homeless person. You just don't realize what your doing do you? Your parents are gonna cry, your not a parent so you don't know how they will feel, and for your friends they are stupid to follow. What is so bad in your life that you have to leave? Nothing your probably a little 14 year old who hates school, and gets in trouble for making bad grades. Why else would you want to leave? In the end it won't change anything, you will just cause problems for your self and the friends your bringing along with you. So good luck with that.

You know I think that you should think things over objectively. Life sucks for all teens, I swear. The smartest thing you can do right now is just stick with it at home, low-key and just try to get through school and taking care of yourself. Wait till you are 16 then go off to join Job Corps. They'll give you food, shelter, education testing, job training, and a little money. It's a more stable base to get you off on your own, and frankly it doesn't seem like you have a chance if you run away. You've made it this far just wait a little longer and you can do the Job Corps thing. And this also sounds dumb but try to talk to someone at school, like the counselor, about what you're feeling. I swear they actually do want to help you. You won't get in trouble. I hope that you find the peace you're looking for, and that you find success. Good luck.

I am afraid the ideas you want will not come to you this way - the last thing you should be doing is running away - simply put anyone who can take care of themselves would not ask anyone that they need tips in order to run away (not that anyone is for that matter). All I can tell you is that whatever is bothering you will pass. Bad times never last - but good people do. I can tell your conscious is wreaking you over your past dishonestly - its time for you to turn over another left and start to deal with this and don't take the cowards way out (suicide is another action of a coward and what you are calling a weakness is actually a strength of character). It seems like you looking at things backwards - I hope you start thinking forwards instead and talk to your guidance counselors, teachers, and parents. Its time to stop thinking about what are the wrong things to do and its time for you to show the courage that you must have in you (or you wouldn't be writing this message) and take back control of your life. It wont be easy - but nothing worth wilded is.
Good Luck and please keep me informed!!!

No I won`t try 2 stop u. Once your mind is set on something it is impossible 2 shake u. But please, consider how serious this situation is. And I know some kids r overeacting saying they have nothing but the only thing they need is action in their lives. The advice I could give u as an adult (because u don`t tell us enough about your situation in order for us to have a picture) is to value the good times.
And I will tell you one thing: you said you want to be independent. This can be done without the slightest risk by becoming a college student! If you register in a city far away from your parents and your hometown you will live on your own and do whatever you want! Think about it! You`ll have your own life, just be patient for some years! Come on, this what I did! Now I don`t only live in a different city, but in a different country as well away from my really crazy parents!
Come on, we wouldn`t like to see you in the news!

somtimes living at home really sucks. im a teen, i hate it. we all do. i wont ask, but it sounds like it sucks for you. if anything, you need to finish ur education! its good to be educated! But, i also understand that Lord knows, school aint for everyone! if its that bad, you can find a job LEGALLY and start working at i think its age 15 1/2 or 16...any younger and it violates child labor laws. bah humbug! anyway, you might want to try to work things out at home, unless ur being hurt emotionally or physically at home....then its best to leave. if not, u gotta stay strong. if u have a will to live then LIVE! do whats best for you: BE HAPPY. if you REALLY just want to get away from it all, you need money, honey. sorry to say, but its true. You need to be able to eat, and at the least travel to wherever you want to go. do you want to travel? that might be fun. just, dont rob a bank or a person. hahaha...that would be bad. I dont know how one cheats thru 3 consecutive grades...but thats no reason to quit. You know its wrong cuz u feel bad about it, just pick up where you left off...it might be harder but high school is just in & out. maybe relocating to a new school might help. But, sometimes you just gotta bite the sh*t, and stick thru it so at the end, you can look back and say "I made it." you can be proud and say "f**k you all, cuz I made it."

without having money or a place to go is not even a reasonable way to start out. Try churches, shelter and they shouldnt turn you down. Job if you can find it. be friend anyone who is nice, but always sleep with a weapon...
I'm not gonna tell you to not run away, but i am gonna tell you to post pone this while you think this through more. if you leave with nothing at your age, you will die on the streets... or be forced to go back home, which will be hard to do. Just think out your options. having a basic idea of what your trying to do helps to. stay in school. later.

IF there is a legitamate reason you can't live at home ( not just some geeky 12 year old reason) then contact child protective services.
If your home is unsafe they can help, includeing setting you up somewhere else. If it is just a geeky 12 year old thing, than perhaps their intervention will at least help your parants understand the problem and motivate them to make changes.

pray to God for strength and a strengthening of faith, spend the week end at a friends house. if you are being abused you need to tell someone. and if you don't try these things then pack your bag walk to the door and open it stick your head out and then slam the door really hard, it ll either knock some sense into you or knock u out so you dint wreck your life. there isn't anything that cant be worked out in regards to your school and it would kill your parents if they cared in the least for you if you disappeared.
