Yep, lots of good foods is an excellent start. Drink plenty of water and fresh juices.
Vitamins A, E and C are excellent for healthy skin, as is Zinc and essential fatty acids, like Omega 3. Vitex may also be useful for you; it helps to balance your hormones, which any woman can tell you will play havoc with your skin if they're out of whack :)
Take yourself down to your local health food shop and talk to them. They'll tell you everything you need to know.

Good luck with it. I'm convinced there is a natural, no abrasive (stinging) treatment for spots - just waiting to be found.

If i did get a spot or two as a younger man, once I had a roller with a liquid in it. You rolled it on your skin and the liquid had air properties in it, which brought air in to the skin. That seemed to help.

I have always used 20 volumn peroxide.
Dilute half and half pour onto cotton wool and apply. This will dry your spots up, it also seams to act like a disinfectant.

Apply a couple of times a day until clear.

Hope this helps.
