Well - if you know you have been on the wrong side - don't you think its about time to be on the right side. End what you see as your destructive behavior and join the right side.

It's never too late. And you should not regret for the learnings -as it won't ever go waste. Better start afresh with smaller strides towards your chosen goal.

Take a new course and update or correct your knowledge. Learning happens throughout life, you are never finished.
