The war is not just in Iraq. It's basically all over the World. The Muslim radicals, some of them leaders of large populations of Muslims, have vowed to 'wipe out' the United States and Israel. Nearly every day there is another quote in the news about that desire.
The fighting in Iraq is nearly over, as far as the foreign troops are concerned. The people don't want the foreigners to stay...but the coalition forces are the only reason Iran and Syria haven't swallowed the Country of Iraq.
The Generals there have proof of arms being supplied to insurgents and probably the dregs (what's left) of Saddam's army. They don't want Iraq to be a democracy. They want radical religious leaders to rule Iraq.
When I say the war there is almost over, it's because I think the democrats, soon to be in charge of the Congress and Senate here in the U.S., will make their point to bring our troops home. That's when Iraq will be swallowed by Iran and Syria. It will still be a separate Country, but the government will be run by radical clerics.
Hope this helps. I am a plain speaking person. If you have any problems with this, please let me know. You can e-mail me from my site. Just click on my avatar to get to my site. Then send me your message.

How about stop politicizing the war and letting the troops kick *** like they are supposed to. These problems could have been avoided if Bush listened to the realistic expectations of the military instead of the civilians surrounding him. Powell told him not to expect another success like Afghanistan and that he needed more troops to secure the nation. Also, disbanding the Iraqi Army was a big mistake.
Now, give the Iraqi military another year to get their act together and secure their own country, shift US and British troops to border patrol and let the Iraqi attempt to control the warring factions. After year, pull out and withdraw aid. I'm a conservative veteran and I even predicted that this action would lead to civil war. The leaders just went about it completely wrong and put way too much faith into the Iraqi people. Just because they vote doesn't mean they are willing to die for the protections of their freedoms, which we, no them, fought for. I realize what Bush was trying to do in the region and I condone it but he went about it completely backwards.

Make it a capital offense to posses a firarm in the country. Start executing the families of violators. Ban religion throughout the country. Shut down al-jazera tv. Monitor what the children are taught in school. After about twenty years of this they might be able to rejoin the civilized world, until then it will continue to be a stinking cesspit of angy muslims bent on destroying that which is different from them and they don't understand.

it somewhat is what is going to take place while THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS TAKE THE WHITEHOUSE: it may seem that a great many people think of that dropping the conflict potential putting our heads, bringing the troops domicile and occurring approximately our agency, like submit Vietnam. it somewhat is as some distance from the certainty as you will get. What dropping somewhat potential is: we'd no longer be the main advantageous u . s . interior the international. The assaults won't subside, yet extremely will progressively develop. bear in mind, they desire us lifeless, no longer merely quiet. if that they had merely needed us quiet, they'd not have produced an increasing series of assaults against us, in the process the final 18 years. The plan replaced into for sure, for terrorists to attack us, till we've been neutered and submissive to them. thank you very plenty for that informative submit.
